Gems & Minerals, shows, photos & collections

I've always had a fascination with crystals and minerals and started collecting and foraging for them when I was really young.  Below is partially my collection and some of the really fancy ones are from the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) If your in the Toronto area, you've got to visit! 

Also if your in the Toronto region there are a few upcoming gem and mineral shows this weekend and the follow, the London ON and the downtown Toronto show  . I'm going to try to make it to both. 

Also check out Carly Waito's gem and mineral paintings, she's a Toronto based artist and her work is incredible! 

A very Katy Perry Halloween

Halloween is one of my favourite holidays and I love homemade costumes! Halloween came early for me this year (Saturday night), and although I always make my own costumes, this year I had the pleasure of wearing this Katy Perry- California Gurls costume made by my sister-in-law (Brooke). She did such an amazing job, the detail is incredible! I had so much fun wearing it. 

Funny enough, my name is Katy too, and when introduced to new people they thought I was just super spirited! I missed out on her necklace and a few other details due to time, but I think most people whom have seen the video get the idea! 

I'll be dressing up again on the 31st to give out candy, but I have yet to decide what I'll be this time.
